Introducing the New Compact SUV: 2018 EcoSport

The smart car takes a few giant leaps forward with the 2018 EcoSport Compact SUV, a Ford in Lakeland that can only be described as connected in every way with its new tech and a new look. As an SUV, it provides all the standards you’d expect, but so much more. Our Ford experts discuss the “more” details you can look forward to in the 2018 EcoSport Compact SUV.

With the BLIS (Blind Spot Information System), cross-traffic alert sensors identify blind spots and give you that extra edge for reaction time. A light illuminates in your side view mirror when the system senses another vehicle coming up in your blind spot. The same goes for backing out of parking spots. BLIS monitors approaching traffic and alerts you at the appropriate time.

However, that’s not all the tech this vehicle provides. The interior also received an overhaul with a FordPass, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay capable 8-inch SYNC 3 infotainment system, the largest center display in its class. The new system provides enhanced voice recognition, an LCD touchscreen, and even auto start-stop technology for fuel consumption and emissions reduction. The Ecosport is the first vehicle to feature a premium audio system by Bang and Olufsen’s B&O Play premium audio brand. At the Titanium level, it will have a 10-speakers system with 675 watts of amplification. This 2018 model will be available in four trim levels: S, SE, SES, and Titanium. SES is considered the “sport” trim level with extra performance features to match the sportier look.

Additional features include:

      • Moonroof
      • Heated Seats
      • Six-Way Power Driver’s Seat
      • Intelligent Access With Push Button Startup
      • Fast-Charging USB ports
      • An Optional 110-volt AC Inverter to Power Larger Devices
      • Spacious Interior with Modern Styling Touches and Storage Options
      • Fob Keys
      • Rear Door that Opens Sideways
      • Rear Seats that Fold Flat

Under the hood, the 2018 Ford Ecosport will have one of two powertrain options: the standard direct-injected 1.0L Ecoboost three-cylinder with a front-wheel powertrain, or the 2.0L turbocharged all-wheel-drive version.

2018 EcoSport combines style, safety, tech and the power of a Ford. Check out what kind of Fords in Lakeland are available on our lot at Bartow Ford.
