Exploring Trucks

When it comes to practicality, nothing beats the pickup truck. This American classic is roomy and fast, as well as great for off-roading and moving furniture, lumber, or debris. Pickup trucks are great for those who regularly need to tow or haul cargo, but thanks to multi-seat configurations, increasingly advanced features, and higher safety ratings, trucks are now considered a great family vehicle. Trucks now rival SUVs in comfort, making them great for long road trips and bigger families. At Bartow Ford, your Lakeland area Ford dealership, you can find Ford’s two truck offerings: The F-150 and the Super Duty.

F-150
When it comes to trucks, the F-150 is the standard. It makes tough tasks look easy and outperforms every truck in its class when hauling cargo. With new innovations, including a redesigned high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body, the F-150 gives you options; its six-engine lineup includes both V6 and V8 configurations with optional EcoBoost. The F-150 incorporates smart technologies, like adaptive cruise control, an 8” LCD productivity screen, and a blind spot information system.

The F-150 knows what it means to be built Ford tough. It's best-in-class in capability, towing, and payload. The 3.5L Ecoboost twin-turbo V6 model has a conventional tow rating of 13,200 lbs., with 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque; the 3.0L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel has a tow rating at 11,4000 lbs., with 250 horsepower and 440 lb.-ft. of torque.

Super Duty
Made up of over 95% high-strength steel, the Ford Super Duty takes pickup trucks to the next level. It has stronger axles, beefier steering, and as a result, leads the class in payload and towing. The Super Duty has a maximum towing capacity of 21,000 pounds, a 7,640-lb. maximum payload, and can hitch up to 27,500-lb. with its 5th-wheel or up to 35,000-lb. with its best-in-class gooseneck tow rating. This truck hauls more, tows more, and was designed with maximum productivity in mind. Smart technologies are built right in, including LED box lighting, up to seven available cameras, tailgate step with step assist, and FordPass Connect.

With two models, countless engines, and endless customization, your Lakeland area Ford dealership, Bartow Ford, is sure to have a truck that fits your needs. Visit us at Bartow Ford, chat with us online, or call us at 800-303-4016.
